About Henderson, KY - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

With a population of just under 30,000, Henderson is a lovely town in Kentucky. It is just on the border of Indiana and is part of the Evansville Metropolitan Area named for Evansville, Indiana. This town is a welcome escape for those who do not wish to live in the busy and highly populated towns nearby. The weather is seasonal which means that it is warm in the summer and cold in the winter. It is ideal for those who love to watch the seasons change and who love snow in December just as much as they love sun in July.

A main attraction in Henderson is the Ellis Park Race Course, which was built in 1922 by owners of thoroughbred racehorses. According to the Horseplayers Association of North America, this race track was was ranked 6th of 65 thoroughbred racetracks in the country as the best wagering opportunity. Go bet on the ponies any time of year! However, if you prefer to watch humans show off their abilities then you should certainly check out Historic Bosse Field located in Garvin Park in Evansville. It was built in 1915 and is the 3rd oldest ballpark in the country that is still in regular use. This is a lovely place to take in beautiful summer or spring weather in this part of the country.

Less interested in sports and more intrigued by the arts? Evansville is also home to The University of Evansville which runs a highly respected and sought after theater program. This university has been asked to perform at The Kennedy Center more times than any other program in the US. In company only with Ivy League Yale, this university’s performers have been asked to perform at the Kennedy Center without prior qualification through competition. This program holds 6 productions each year and they are a must see for any serious lover of theatre and the arts. If you are looking to get indoors and beat the heat or get shelter from the cold (depending on the season), head into the theatre to take in some phenomenal theatre that will surely blow you away.
