About Poseyville, IN - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Poseyville is a small Midwestern town in Indiana with a population of around 1,000 people. The town is quiet and peaceful and, for some, is a welcome escape from nearby Evansville which is quite busy. There is little not to like about this part of the world. It is quintessentially American and there is a sense of history and community everywhere that you turn. In addition, the seasonal weather allows for residents to enjoy “the best of both worlds” with hot summers and cold winters.

The plantation home of George Washington, Mount Vernon Estate, is located in the nearby town of its namesake, Mount Vernon. The Washington family owned land in the area for generations and the estate was initially owned by the first president’s great grandfather. There was an expansion of the estate that was initiated under his great grandfather and completed under George who took ownership of the mansion in 1754. The mansion was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1960. It is now open for tours daily and you should certainly consider devoting a sunny, warm spring or summer day exploring and enjoying all that this lovely estate and its grounds have to offer.

If antebellum history is of interest to you then you simply must visit the Main Street of another nearby town: Newburgh. The buildings in the area have been restored in order to create the atmosphere of an old Ohio River town. It is an ideal place to spend a pretty spring or summer day. In addition, the historic downtown area hosts "Ghost Walks” each Autumn. During these tours, people learn about the town’s part in the Civil War and Underground Railroad as well as other important historical periods. The love of history and the importance of this area’s past is evident in these welcoming neighboring towns.
